Updated Web Logs and News About Webkinz

Many of our members logged on to Webkinz World this morning to discover that the Leprechaun Pattern we posted on our front page last night was no longer working.  In that article we mentioned that Ganz could change the pattern without warning, and it looks like that’s exactly what they did.

It appears that tricky fellow is still jumping around from zone to zone, appearing in each color zone once every ten minutes. The room number and the room type do not matter. As long as you are in the room before the time changes, you should see him. Trackers who have had luck finding the Leprechaun in the Clubhouse today (Thursday) have been spotting him on the following pattern.

Yellow, Light Blue, and Green:  :09, :19, :29, :39, :49, :59
Pink, Dark Blue, Gold (Deluxe):  :03, :13, :23, :33, :43, :53

If you don’t want to deal with jumping from room to room trying to catch up with him, just pick one room and stay put. The system isn’t perfect though. Sometimes he skips a few rooms on his path. He makes a little jingly noise when he appears, so turn on your speakers. Remember, you can only get one Jelly Coin per hour, so once you’ve received one Coin, you’ll need to take a break from hunting for at least 60 minutes. Also, keep in mind that Ganz could change the programming again without warning. So, stay tuned for details.

Thank you to all of the members who pointed out a new addition to Webkinz World this morning.  If you clear your cache and visit PJ’s Kinzstyle Outlet, you’ll notice a new button for a T-Shirt Designer.  This is very similar to the T-Shirt Designer from the Ganz eStore.  In this version, you can use pets and clothing from your own account to create designs.  This designer is "just for fun" to play with T-Shirt designs.  If you want to actually purchase a human T-Shirt, you’ll need to visit the Ganz eStore.

This addition to Webkinz World is fantastic news for those of you who wanted to participate in Webkinz Insider’s T-Shirt Design Contest but who were unable to access the T-Shirt Designer in the Ganz eStore.  If you want to take a shot at winning a retired Red or retired Purple Lava Lamp, head on over to PJ’s KinzStyle Outlet to create your design.  Only one entry allowed per member, so pick your favorite one.  The contest ends on March 31st.  Click HERE for complete details.

The Endangered Species contest that was regularly scheduled from March 10th through March 16th on the Webkinz Newz site has been pulled due to technical difficulties. Once the problems are fixed, they will relaunch the contest and everyone can enter once again.

February’s White Terrier POTM Video items have been removed from the Ganz eStore and replaced with March’s Himalayan Cat POTM Video items. Want to re-create the video in your Webkinz house?  Now you can with Dex Dangeroups PJs, Pink Polka Dot PJs, Pink Dex Superfan Vanity (aka Pink Party Vanity), Pink Vanity Salon Stool (aka Pink Party Vanity Stool), and Pink Popcorn Machine.  The Pink Popcorn Machine can be used to make a Bowl of Popcorn, a food item that can be fed to your pets.

If you’ve just got to have it all, you can purchase the entire set of items in a Party Pack for a reduced price.  You can also carry the fun over into the Clubhouse with a Pajama Party Smiley Set.  Remember, these items are only available at the Ganz eStore, and they cannot be traded or sent by KinzPost.

Ganz has just tweeted: "New event starting tomorrow in the Clubhouse! A little green friend will be popping in and out, handing out a rainbow of treats."

With St Patrick’s Day being next week, who doesn’t love a rainbow of treats? When we know more about this exciting event, we will be sure to let you know!

Update 6am KT:
If you clear your cache, you will discover a Pot of Gold - visible to you in a Clubhouse Room or your Webkinz World Room.  It seems just like the previous events Ganz has hosted, we will have to visit a certain time/certain room in the Clubhouse to receive our "rainbow treats" from the Leprechaun in order to fill our Pot of Gold.

Congratulations to WI forum member ginger3166 is the first to have reported filling her Pot of Gold with coins and receiving the pot of gold to display in her room and KinzCash.

We have been getting a lot of questions in the forum today about the Safari Jacket and the Animal Rescue Jacket.  To help clear things up, here is a little bit of information about each.

The Safari Jacket (pictured on the left) is part of the Safari Costume.  The Safari Costume is one of the costumes available to players who enter a feature code from a Human Webkinz T-Shirt.  This item can be sent by KinzPost.  It is one of the potential prizes for this week’s Communal Contest in Webkinz World.

The Animal Rescue Jacket (pictured on the right) is an item sold in the Ganz eStore.  It cannot be traded or sent by KinzPost.  It is one of the prizes for the next Webkinz Newz Contest.  Ganz hasn’t yet revealed the complete details of the contest.  As of the posting of this article, the Webkinz Newz is still showing the details from last year’s Christmas Contest. UPDATE (March 9th): The correct contest details have been posted.
